In this playful hour of art, singing, and movement we combine child-centered instruction with free imaginative play. Students will be introduced to drawing and painting materials and learn new skills while discovering the elemental shapes and colors found in nature and all around us. We will use music and rhythm for warm-up exercises and inspiration.

Janet Trierweiler holds a B.F.A. in Painting and Drawing from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and has been teaching art to students of all ages and levels for over 20 years. She loves working with young kids and specializes in early childhood education. Besides Terra Sounds, Janet teaches at the Evanston Art Center and the Chicago Waldorf School.
