Ms. Varagona is a multi-instrumentalist who has won national competitions and toured the world as a professional musician, performing at many of the most famous opera houses, theatres, and music venues in both the U.S. and abroad.  Deanna is currently honored to serve as the chairperson for the Chicago chapter of the American College of Musicians, the largest non-profit organization of piano teachers in the world.  She is also a member of the American Orff-Schulwerk Association. 

Deanna is a licensed Simply Music Rhapsody Teacher for young students and parents and offers group music classes for infants and children up to 6 years of age as well as private and ensemble instruction for all ages.  
Ms. Varagona has been teaching since 1979 and enjoys teaching students of all levels & backgrounds.  She has experience with piano, voice, saxophone, guitar, bass, mandolin, ukelele, cello, and other instruments, and has taught music theory, ear training, composition, and arranging, providing students with competition and performance opportunities. The emphasis is on quality and fun, with the understanding that music should bring joy to the performer and the listener!
