This comprehensive, introductory guitar class is designed to teach students the fundamentals necessary to start playing the guitar in a very short period of time, with intent that each student can learn to play music that interests them in the near future and for years to come.

Topics: Tuning the guitar, proper left and right hand technique, guitar tabs, introduction to music theory, developing listening skills, basic guitar chords, strumming patterns, and basic fingerpicking.
Technique: As the students progress and the material gets more sophisticated, right-hand strumming and fingerpicking techniques will be given extra attention, giving students more options in exploring their favorite instrument.
Repertoire: The materials and exercises will be taken from contemporary music, custom-tailored for each group of students, based on their musical preference, with repertoire from the vast classic rock to modern pop tunes.
